Organic farming

Founded in 1972,  IFOAM is the  only international umbrella organization for the organic world, uniting a diverse range of stakeholders contributing to the organic vision.

From IFOAM website: Day by day, we work towards true sustainability in agriculture, from the field, through the value chain to the consumer. From building awareness among the public and advocating for sustainable policy, to building capacity and facilitating the transitoir of farmers to organic agriculture, everything we do aims to strengthen the organic movement and lead it forwards.

We have Affiliates in more than 120 countries. In order to unify, lead and assist this a broad-based constituency in a fair, inclusive and participatory manner, we organize a General Assembly every three years.

Towards Organic Asia (TOA) is a partner-driven network, managed by the coordinating team based on School for Wellbeing, studies and research Secretariat Office in Bangkok, Thailand.

Towards Organic Asia begins as an initiative of Vandana Shiva, a leading environmental activist, to strengthen and move forward the existing movement of agroecology in Asia. Inspired by the Bhutanese’s “100 percent Organic Country” policy and global movement of Gross National Happiness, School for Wellbeing Studies and Research started Towards Organic Asia (TOA) Programme in 2011 in collaboration with CCFD – Terre SolidaireThailand Green Market Networkand Suan Nguen Mee Ma social enterprise.
